This is a post that I meant to publish much earlier, but… well, you know, life happens! Let’s start saying that my birthday was on August 16th, and I wanted to sew something special for that day. I had about 3 meters of beautiful sheer black chiffon that I bought long ago with no real purpose in mind (ahem, fabric addiction? Nah…). Now was the time to use it, but… which pattern could be good enough for it?
Some weeks ago I received some sad news: my go-to store for bra-making supplies in Barcelona stopped carrying several things, like cut-and-sew foam, many types of elastic and almost all underwire sizes. Oh, THE drama!! There isn’t any other place for buying those things in Barcelona (at least, not that I know!) and I decided to order them online.
I’ve been a very bad blogger recently: I haven’t published in a month! I’ve had an insanely busy summer and, although I’ve sewn quite some things, I haven’t had the time (or, sometimes, the internet connection…) to post about them. BUT… I’ve been working on this blog, even if you couldn’t see that until now! 😉
I don’t usually share my panty makes in the blog because I find them… a little boring, to be honest! But today I thought I could share my favourite pattern alteration for panties: getting a scalloped lace back!
I like this kind of panties because they’re less bulky (meaning, less visible panty lines under clothing!) and also really comfortable, because you don’t have elastic edges cutting into the skin of your, ejem, rear view 😉
